All the facets of Creuse...

Church of Paulhac, St Etienne de Fursac

Typical of 13th century rural gothic style in Limousin, this church served as a model to the neighbouring commanderies of Blaudeix, Chamberaud and saint Moreil. Its large frescos, to this day, are the most successfully completed works representing the spirituality of the Templars... Next to the church, probably the oratory of the cemetery, the chapel stands out due to its very symbolic pediment. Its flamboyant style reflects the masterful skills of the last age of the gothic period.

A keystone shows the coat of arms of Pierre d’Aubusson, lord Marchois, master of the Hospitalers.
